Mark Foley,

Republican politician from Florida, resigned from the House in September, after reports emerged that he had sent sexually explicit messages to teenage male Congressional pages. He had been the head of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children. The scandal intensified when it was revealed that the House leadership had known about the emails for months. The FBI and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement both launched investigations to determine if Foley's actions violated any laws.
