John M. Ford

author who wrote several science fiction and fantasy novels and numerous poems and short stories. His work often drew upon, and played with the conventions of, multiple genres. Examples include The Final Reflection—a Bildungsroman incorporating game-play theory, it was the first Star Trek work of any kind to explore Klingon society in a sympathetic light—and The Dragon Waiting, a historical fantasy combining real 15th Century figures with elements drawn from literature and folklore.
