Steve Irwin

Age: 44

television personality and animal conservationist, known to fans worldwide as the “Crocodile Hunter,” whose stunts with crocodiles, alligators, and snakes brought him fame—and ultimately death. Irwin hosted the TV series The Crocodile Hunter and was a frequent guest on talk shows, often shouting his trademark Australian-accented “Crikey!” He died after being stung in the chest by a stingray.
