Steven Jordan,

lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army, was charged in April with cruelty and maltreatment, dereliction of duty, lying to investigators, and other violations in connection to the detainee abuse at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison. Jordan, who was in charge of the interrogation center at Abu Ghraib, is the highest-ranking officer to face charges in the abuse scandal.
