Goldsmith Prize

The Goldsmith Awards Program encourages a more insightful, spirited public debate about government, politics, and the press. The awards are given by the Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics, and Public Policy at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

2006 Goldsmith Prizes

Investigative ReportingJames Risen and Eric Lichtblau, “Domestic Spying,” The New York Times. The report revealed that the government was systematically tapping into international telephone calls and email traffic in the U.S. without court warrants.
