Maureen Stapleton

Age: 80

actress whose powerful, intelligent performances earned her an Oscar, two Tonys, and an Emmy Award. She won the Academy Award for her portrayal of anarchist Emma Goldman in Reds. Her other credits include Broadway's Orpheus Descending and The Gingerbread Lady and the films View from the Bridge and Plaza Suite.

Died: Lenox, Mass., March 13, 2006
