Isabelle Dinoire,

Frenchwoman who received the world's first partial face transplant, appeared at a news conference in February. She answered questions about her injuries, explaining that after passing out from taking drugs, her dog chewed her lips, nose, and chin. She said she hoped her appearance would help ease the public's anxiety over such procedures. “We want to launch these new techniques to give hope to other people all over the world,” she said.
