Stan Berenstain

Age: 82

prolific co-author and co-illustrator, of the best-selling Berenstain Bears series of children's books. He and his wife, Jan, created more than 250 of the sweet books about the travails of Mama, Papa, Brother, and Sister bear. Almost 300 million copies of the books have been sold.

Died: Doylestown, Pa., Nov. 26, 2005
