Michael Scanlon

Republican political operative, pleaded guilty in November to conspiring to bribe a Congressman and other officials. He also agreed to pay $19.6 million in restitution to Indian tribes—former clients he defrauded. Scanlon earlier served as Rep. Tom DeLay's spokesman, and he was a partner of controversial lobbyist Jack Abramoff.
