Ray Nagin, mayor of New Orleans, berated the Bush administration for its inadequate and slow response to Hurricane Katrina. In a radio interview, he announced that members of the federal government should “get off your asses and do something, and let's fix the biggest goddamn crisis in the history of this country.” Nagin himself faced criticism for not having a finalized hurricane response plan in place for New Orleans.
