Jacob Broom framer of the Constitution, politician Born: 1752 Birthplace: Wilmington, Del.
Primarily a local politician, serving the community of Wilmington as assistant burgess and postmaster, Broom's national claim to fame was in his participation in the Constitutional Convention, where he never missed a session. He is also noted for having drawn a map for George Washington's use in the Battle of Brandywine. Died: 1810
