Michael Jackson,

pop star, was acquitted by a California jury in June of ten felony charges, including molesting a child, conspiracy, and providing alcohol to minors. He was accused of molesting a child who was suffering from cancer at his Neverland Ranch in California in 2003. The verdict stunned many observers. After he was cleared, Jackson vowed he would never again share his bed—or bedroom—with a child. Jackson behaved erratically during the 2005 trial, falling ill and appearing late several times, earning the ire of and several warnings from Superior Court Judge Rodney S. Melville.
