Reggie White Age: 43
professional football player widely considered one of the greatest defensive players in the history of the game. He played with the Philadelphia Eagles from 1986 to 1992, earning All-NFL honors each season. He signed as a free agent with Green Bay in 1993 for $17 million. He was an ordained minister and a pastor who often worked with inner-city youth. His star was somewhat tarnished in 1998, however, when he made controversial public comments about gays and minorities. Died: Huntersville, N.C., Dec. 26, 2004
