Phil Sokolof

businessman who used his considerable wealth to promote low-fat and low-cholesterol diet. Sokolof, who had a near-fatal heart attack at age 44, took out full-page ads in newspapers that said, “McDonald's, Your Hamburgers Have Too Much Fat.” His nonprofit organization Heart Savers offered free cholesterol screening.
