Elizabeth Smart,

Utah teenager, was reunited with her family in March, nine months after being kidnapped at knifepoint from her Salt Lake City bedroom by Brian Mitchell, a 49-year-old self-proclaimed prophet. During her prolonged ordeal, Smart lived an itinerant life with her abductors, Mitchell and his wife, Wanda Barzee. The trio spent the winter months in San Diego and returned to Utah in early March, when a number of people recognized the 15 year old and tipped off police.
