Orville Freeman Age: 84
Democratic politician who served as governor of Minnesota from 1954 to 1960. As secretary of agriculture under presidents Kennedy and Johnson, Freeman helped to create the food-stamp program and promoted the export of U.S. farm products. Died: Minneapolis, Feb. 20, 2003
