Linda Braidwood, 93, and Robert Braidwood

Age: 95

 husband-and-wife archaeologist team that in 1947 discovered the earliest-known village, which dated to 6800 B.C., near the Iran-Iraq border. In 1964 they found the earliest-known building, dating from 7250 to 6750 B.C., in southwestern Turkey. They died within hours of each other.
