Abu Zubaydah, al-Qaeda chief of operations and top recruiter, was captured by Pakistani police forces during a bold raid in Faisalabad in March. Under intense interrogation by U.S. intelligence officials, the Saudi-born Palestinian revealed details of al-Qaeda plots against U.S. landmarks. Zubaydah was the third-highest-ranking al-Qaeda member.
