Ramzi bin al-Shibh,
alleged al-Qaeda member, was captured in September during a raid in Pakistan. U.S. officials said the 30-year-old from Yemen had planned to serve as the 20th hijacker in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks but was denied a U.S. visa on four occasions. He was taken to a military base, where U.S. authorities began interrogating him, hoping to extract details about al-Qaeda and its operations.
