Sherron Watkins,

Enron vice president and whistle-blower, testified before the House Energy and Commerce Committee in February about the Aug. 2001 memo she wrote to chairman Kenneth Lay, voicing concern about the company's off-the-book partnerships and questionable accounting practices. Watkins was widely hailed as a hero for exposing the level of corporate malfeasance that contributed to the collapse of the energy giant.
