Steve Gromek Age: 82
Cleveland Indians pitcher captured in a joyful embrace with black teammate Larry Doby in a 1948 World Series' photo recognized as a groundbreaker in the struggle to integrate baseball; played 17 seasons with Cleveland and Detroit, winning 123 games; won World Series title with Cleveland in 1948. He died of pneumonia and complications from a stroke. Died: Clinton Township, Mich., March 12
