Al Smith

Age: 73

Chicago White Sox outfielder, who became the unlucky subject of one of baseball's most famous photographs when a fan spilled a cup of beer on his head as he watched a ball hit by the Dodgers' Charlie Neal sail over the fence during the 1959 World Series; two-time AL All-Star; also played with the Indians Orioles and Red Sox. He died of cardiac arrest after arterial surgery.
