Daniel Case III

influential investment banker who, as head of J.P. Morgan HQ (formerly Hambrecht & Quist), financed many of Silicon Valley's leading high-tech companies, including Apple, Adobe, and Netscape. His brother is Steve Case, chairman of AOL Time Warner. He died of brain cancer.
