anti-abortion activist, was extradited from France and pleaded not guilty to using a firearm to commit a violent crime and violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, charges stemming from the 1998 shooting death of abortion doctor Barnett Slepian. Kopp was arrested in 2001 in France after spending more than two years on the lam.
