Damon Knight

science-fiction writer and editor whose darkly comic short story “To Serve Man” was adapted into a popular episode of The Twilight Zone. Knight was an early member of the Futurians, a group of literary sci-fi writers in the 1940s, which also included Isaac Asimov and Frederick Pohl.
