Dean Roper

Age: 62

Automobile Racing Club of America driver who died on the 17th lap of the Allen Crowe Memorial, 10 months after his son, Tony, was killed in a NASCAR truck series race; USAC Stock driving champion from 1981-83; winningest ARCA series driver on dirt with nine career victories. He died of a heart attack suffered during the race.
