Ira Einhorn,

fugitive, was extradited to the U.S. from France in July to face retrial in the 1977 death of his girlfriend, Holly Maddux. The former antiwar activist and New Age guru was convicted and sentenced to life in prison in absentia in 1993 for beating Maddux to death. He fled the country in 1981 and spent two decades on the lam.
