Mimi Fariña Age: 56folk singer who, in 1974, created Bread and Roses, an organization that stages benefit performances by popular musicians. She was a sister of Joan Baez and was married to singer Richard Fariña, who died in a motorcycle accident in 1966. Their lives are the subject of the recent book, Positively 4th Street: The Lives and Times of Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Mimi Fariña, and Richard Fariña, by David Hajdu.
