David Brock,

former conservative journalist, admitted in June that when he was covering the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings in 1991, he libeled Anita Hill in depicting her as “a little bit nutty and a little bit slutty” and as a liar in American Spectator magazine and in his book, The Real Anita Hill. He also confessed to embellishing Thomas's reputation.
