Mamoru Takuma, 37,

stabbed to death 8 children in an elementary school in Ikeda, Japan. Fifteen other students and 2 adults were wounded in the June massacre. The motive was not clear, but Takuma had a history of mental-health problems. It was the worst mass murder of children in Japan's history.
