Dr. Robert Kerr

Age: 65

controversial sports medicine specialist from California, who became known as the "steroid guru" for his well-documented support of performance-enhancing drugs during the 1980s; testified before the Canadian government in 1989 that he provided steroids for about 20 athletes who won medals at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics; in his 1982 book "The Practical Use of Anabolic Steroids with Athletes" admitted to treating more than 4,000 athletes from 20 countries. He died of a heart attack.
