(Aurele) Al Couture

former welterweight boxer who holds the record for fastest knockout in boxing history; dropped Ralph Walton in 101/2 seconds on Sept. 24, 1946; fought 296 professional fights and at one time was ranked sixth in the world in his division, ahead of Jake LaMotta. The cause of his death was not given.
