Carl Rowan

liberal crusading columnist and best-selling author who specialized in race relations. He served as deputy assistant secretary of state and ambassador to Finland under President John F. Kennedy. His books include The Coming Race War in America and a biography of Jackie Robinson, Wait Till Next Year.
