Leonard Hilton

anchored the University of Houston relay team that set a world record in the indoor distance medley relay in 1970; qualified in the 5,000-meter run at the 1972 Olympics; U.S. champion in the mile in 1973 and 1975; earned a degree in engineering and served as vice president of operations with Kinder Morgan Energy and Enron Corp.; He died of pancreatic cancer.
