Ellis Clary

Age: 85

longtime baseball scout for the Twins from 1962-84, then the White Sox and Blue Jays; played with Washington and St. Louis; won an A.L. pennant as a reserve infielder with the St. Louis Browns in 1944; managed in the minors and was a coach in the pros from 1955-60; retired in 1993. The cause of his death wasn't given.

Died: Valdosta, Ga., June 2
