Lucien Laurin

Age: 88

Hall of Fame trainer who won five of six Triple Crown races with Riva Ridge and Secretariat in 1972 and 1973; won 161 races as a jockey; began training in 1942 and joined Meadow Stable in 1971; trained 36 stakes winners; He died after complications from hip surgery.

Died: Miami, June 26
