Jerome Richardson jazz flutist and saxophonist who was a founding member of the Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra. He collaborated with Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughan, and Miles Davis on more than 4,000 recordings. Died: Englewood, N.J., June 23, 2000
