Bobb McKittrick

San Francisco 49ers offensive line coach who worked with five Super Bowl-winning teams over 21 years; coaching career began as an assistant at his alma mater, Oregon St. in 1961; coached with UCLA, L.A. Rams, San Diego Chargers; joined Bill Walsh's 49ers' staff in 1979; tough character known for using his military training with players; coached nine Pro Bowl linemen, including Randy Cross and Guy McIntyre; diagnosed with bile duct cancer in January 1999; honored during halftime tribute on Oct. 3, 1999; He died of cancer.
