Maria Hsia,

political fund-raiser and immigration consultant, was convicted in March on five felony counts of illegally arranging more than $100,000 in contributions to the Democratic Party during the 1996 presidential campaign. One of the fund-raising events was at the now-famous Los Angeles Buddhist temple, where Vice President Al Gore gave a speech.
