Roger Vadim Age: 72French director whose first film, And God Created Woman (1956), launched the career of then-wife Brigitte Bardot. One of France's pioneering New Wave directors, Vadim directed several controversial, erotic films, including No Sun in Venice (1957), Blood and Roses (1960), and Barbarella (1968).
