graphic artist who first introduced interactive television in 1954, with Winky Dink and You, a children's show hosted by Jack Barry. Viewers who bought a Magic Kit (a “magic” crayon and a protective sheet for the television screen) would draw on their televisions as requested by the characters. The show ran for four years on CBS and returned in syndication in 1969. Interactive Winky Dink videos debuted in the 1990s.
