host of “Hockey Night in Canada” from 1959-72, when Dave Hodge replaced him; represented the Ontario government as agent general in London until 1978; returned to Canada in 1980 and was Ontario's deputy minister for culture and recreation as well as deputy housing minister. Cause of death was not given.
