Byrum (By) Saam

Philadelphia radio broadcaster who called more than 8,000 baseball games over 38 years for the Phillies and A's; began broadcasting college football in 1937 and baseball a year later; retired in 1975; won Ford Frick Award in 1990. He died of a stroke.
