John Morris Rankin

fiddler and pianist credited with reviving an interest in Celtic and ancient Highland Scottish music in North America; in a car accident. In the late 1980s, he drew on his family of talented musicians and formed the Rankins. The band's recordings include The Rankin Family and Uprooted.
