Grover Washington, Jr.

Age: 56

Grammy Award-winning influential jazz saxophonist who shifted with ease from jazz to pop to R&B to funk. A mainstream and commercial success, Washington released more than 30 albums, including Come Morning, Winelight, and The Best Is Yet to Come. He died of a heart attack.
