Whitlow Wyatt Age: 91
hard-throwing right-hander who won 22 games in 1941 and helped the Brooklyn Dodgers win their first league title in 21 years; won 70 games for Dodgers from 1940-43; broke in with the Tigers in 1929 but injuries led to just 26 wins over nine seasons and three teams; retired in 1945 with a 106-95 career record; served as pitching coach for Philadelphia, Milwaukee and Atlanta and managed in the minor leagues. Died: Carrollton, Ga., July 16, 1999
