37, white supremacist, opened fire in August at a Los Angeles Jewish community center, injuring five people, and an hour later killed Filipino-American letter carrier Joseph Ileto, 39. The next day, Furrow took a 275-mile cab ride to Las Vegas, where he turned himself in. He told authorities he was “concerned about the decline of the white race and wanted to send a message to America by killing Jews.”
