1. Defined as battle deaths. Does not
include deaths from accidents.
2. A total of 1,005 Americans have been
killed, including 273 noncombat deaths (March 10, 2010). 5,190 have been
wounded (March 10, 2010). “Operation Enduring Freedom” deaths
cover other Asian regions as well as Afghanistan.
3. A total of 4,371 Americans have been
killed, including 902 non-combat deaths (March 10, 2010). 31,716 were
wounded (March 10, 2010).
