Phil Cutchin Age: 78
former Oklahoma St. football coach (1963-68); never had a winning record, but in 1965 led the Cowboys to a victory over Oklahoma for the first time in 20 years; played for Bear Bryant at Kentucky and spent 11 years as an assistant coach with Bryant before moving on to Texas A&M and Alabama. He died of a long illness. Died: Tulsa, Okla., January 7, 1999
