Jack S. Kilby

Born: 1923
Birthplace: Jefferson City, Mo.

Miniaturized electronic circuits—Kilby was responsible for the design and development of thick film integrated circuits, integrated circuit development and applications, and also invented the monolithic integrated circuit widely used in electronic systems. (1982)
